Problem With Firefox: AUS Update XML File Malformed (200)

After I deleted that one cookie and closed out the dialogue box, the "Check for updates" executed as expected. I can't get around this and I can't disable the security software. As a last resort, download the latest version of Firefox from www.mozilla.com and install it over your current version. To create a new profile under Windows for Firefox you need to close Firefox completely and start it with the parameter Firefox -p which will open the profile manager on start. Not sure why it is doing this. I was trying to do something to fix it and got the message: AUS: Update XML File Malformed (200) when trying to update. Reboot. For some reason the download server is not recognizing that Thunderbird is active until sees indication of recent activity.
