I think it's the more complex clipboard with all sorts of custom settings. Once I did this & rebooted, all was fine. Also, ALT+PrntScr seems to work, but that's only for the current window, and I frequently screenshot my entire workspace. is it extremely high? In my case it was Advanced System Care 5 from IOBIT software...LOVE THE SOFTWARE on Win 7..speeds everything up and clears out all the BS Miscosoft stuff running at boot... Certainly you can use the Printscreen button in XP to capture an image.
